Job Description: The PACS Service Technician is responsible for making sure that all work duties within Technical Team are coordinated properly and carried out according to established standards. Additionally, is responsible for performing skilled security technician work in the service and repair and maintenance of the existing Physical Access Control System. The assigned PACS Security Technician works closely with Management Staff to resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns and provide both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure a minimum uptime of 99.99% of Critical PACS and minimum uptime of 90% of non-critical PACS within 72 hours of identified PACS failure.
• Perform annual maintenance and inspections on PACs system
• Provide service response for related system issues
• Guide and advise the customer on system related modifications or expansions

Relevant factory certifications and knowledge required:
• Active Hirsch Identiv Velocity Manufacturer Certification
• Technician must have a minimum of 3 years experience installing or maintaining FICAM compliant and/or capable PACs systems, preferably Hirsch Identiv brand.
• Must be proficient at maintaining, repairing, and installing access control, intrusion detection/alarm and IP video systems.
• Possess the ability to isolate network deficiencies, equipment failures, and operational anomalies through the use of technical manual reference, diagnostic equipment/software, and established troubleshooting techniques.
• Have a working knowledge of network architecture with an understanding of IP configuration and transport principles.
• Experience in how to run and install conduit and cabling per NEC code.
