Job Title: Low Voltage Cable Technician

Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team in Cheyenne, WY. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling systems. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a team environment, and be able to adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and terminate low voltage cabling systems, including card readers, door contacts, motion detectors, and intercoms.
  • Test and label end-user devices to ensure proper functionality.
  • Utilize industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards.
  • Maintain open communication with direct superior to ensure work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a tech role, preferably in the commercial building construction industry related to structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, A/V, and paging.
  • BICSI certification desired.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in high places and confined spaces.
Work Environment:

Work sites may vary from finished space interiors to new construction sites. Appropriate dress according to the work environment is required. Work hours will vary according to individual projects, and some jobs may require weekend shifts.

Travel:

Travel requirements will vary. A current passport is required for overseas travel.
