Technical Support Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Representative to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential technical support and troubleshooting for customers' equipment, manage and document repair processes, liaise with customers and vendors, and offer expert technical advice when needed.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create, monitor, and document work orders using custom software systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and repair technicians to diagnose issues, assess problems, document findings, and recommend necessary repairs.
- Offer technical support to subcontracted repair technicians.
- Provide additional technical assistance to customers for all contract manufacturers.
- Manage inventory usage and ensure timely corrections.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and standard processes in all tasks.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associate's degree with a technical major or equivalent, or related job experience, and/or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of lab equipment and repair processes for various types of benchtop lab equipment.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively, both independently and in a team environment.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and able to learn custom database and software applications.
- Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers over the phone.
