Join Our Team: Part-time Accountant Position Open

At NAMI Mid-Ohio, we are passionate about making a difference. We’re seeking a dynamic, experienced individual to join our team as a Part-time Accountant. This is a contract or part-time position (10-15 hours per week) working in a hybrid role. The salary range is $38 to $40 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting records and transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adequate documentation.
  • Uphold compliance with internal policies, agency rules, regulations, and GAAP.
  • Review and analyze reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Address and research issues, as necessary.
  • Contribute to developing accounting applications, reports, forms, records, and procedures.
  • Assist in crafting financial projections and forecasts.
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Maintain general ledger entries and perform reconciliations.
  • Track fixed assets and complete true-up for Bureau of Workers Compensation.
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide information for the annual audit.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of non-profit accounting experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and active listening communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical, critical thinking, judgement, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective time and resource management skills.
