Job DescriptionJob Description

Purpose:

Responsible for custodial maintenance of office and warehouse areas and running mail room operations, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform maintenance inside and outside the building, keep the warehouse, dock and mezzanine areas clean and well organized
  • Receive and distribute incoming shipments to the appropriate departments
  • Meter first class and priority mail and packages using current mail equipment
  • Pick merchandise to fulfill orders, package and then process shipments using the current mailing system
  • Ship educational and conference materials, along with miscellaneous packages
  • Track and control inventory, including various departments’ equipment and supplies
  • Assist department leaders in special projects, time permitting
  • Prepares meeting rooms for meetings, which may require moving furniture as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills or Experience:

  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience or training. 
  • Must be familiar with mailing systems and have knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Must be certified or have the ability to be certified, and to operate a fork lift. 
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently.
  • Must have organizational skills, accuracy and consistency, communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to perform multiple functional tasks.
  • Must be able to operate pallet jacks and fork lift equipment safely.
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
