ASGCO Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturer and turn-key service provider of bulk material handling equipment, including; conveyor systems, conveyor components, screens and wear parts to the aggregate, cement, recycling and other bulk material handling industries.

We are looking for Field Service / Conveyor Belt Technician to install, service and repair conveyor belts and components and who has experience on Industrial jobsites, including: Aggregate, Asphalt, Ready-mix, Quarries and or other types of Industrial / Manufacturing plants. We provide in-house training programs for advancement. Any construction or millwright type jobs including steel fabrication, welding, proper rigging techniques and any conveyor experience is a plus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install new conveyor belt
  • Change out existing conveyor belt
  • Repair or splicing of conveyor belt
  • Demonstrate proper safe use of handling of tools, equipment and materials.
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Follows instructions under the leadership of the Crew Lead to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time-consuming delays as well as hazard and/or task training that may be required before the task begins
  • Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean/free of hazards which may endanger the health/safety of any employee
  • Take part of our Conveyor Technician training programs for advancement.
  • Be willing and able to work a variety of schedules on-call, including dayshift, nightshift and weekends.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook.

Requirements

  • Prior belting experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to travel
  • Effective communication is required
  • Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Job duties will be performed underground and on surface, those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications; successfully complete industry approved training courses.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires
