Northeast Family Services of Illinois is hiring

We are an established and growing organization with locations in eight states, specializing in providing therapy services to individuals and families via Telehealth, in-person, or in-home.

The Intake Coordinator works in our Wheaton Office and manages all aspects of the registration and admissions process for Northeast Family Services. They are responsible for answering incoming calls, gathering referral information, verifying insurance coverage, and scheduling clients’ appointments.

To be successful in the Intake Coordinator position, you need to be highly organized, detail oriented, and have a working knowledge of payer portals, co-pays, deductibles, and health insurance benefits. Top candidates will also have excellent interpersonal skills and work well as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes therapists, clinicians, nurse practitioners and peers. Bilingual in English / Spanish is a huge plus

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in patient intake and scheduling
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
  • Working knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizations
  • Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Experience working with and helping clients with co-occurring disorders
  • Ability to keep client and company confidences
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
