Job Title: Production Assembler 2
Location: Oro Valley, AZ
Duration: 6 (May extend depending on the client needs)
Work schedule: 1st shift (Monday to Friday)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, including soldering to IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard, wire preparation, battery setup, and application of conformal coating, marking, and adhesive bonding, all in accordance with company instructions and procedures.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently, while inspecting own work and that of others to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, adhering to 6S standards and ensuring safety and compliance with all company policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments on job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed, supporting overall team goals.
  • Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Lead Tech or Supervisor, contributing to the smooth operation of the assembly process.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or
    completed OJT training for at least 5 products
  • Experienced in mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, including welding, brazing, soldering, and the use of hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering guns.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending English instructions, with strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and policies.
  • Skilled in problem-solving for atypical situations using existing precedents or procedures, with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs, with good manual dexterity for tasks requiring hand grasping and fine finger manipulations.
  • Able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed, while maintaining compliance with Drug-Free Workplace policies and passing all related screenings.

EDUCATION:

  • Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking within indoor company facilities.
  • Use of head and neck in static positions, looking up/down, and side-to-side.
  • Light lifting from the floor, table, and shelf; pushing and pulling carts or mobile tables.
  • Occasional heavy lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling, and exposure to excessive noise and hazardous materials.
