Job DescriptionJob Description

National law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant for their downtown Tampa office. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting multiple attorneys with complex commercial litigation, commercial transactions, torts and product liability matters. Must be able to work independently, high energy and have advanced computer skills. Must be a positive team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Filings-State and Federal Courts
  • Client Management
  • Billing, time entry
  • Formatting, proofreading and editing of documents
  • Travel arrangements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with litigation support
  • Ability to manage billing for assigned attorneys
  • strong experience calendaring litigation deadlines
  • Working knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
  • Experience using attorney timekeeping software and document management systems
  • experience and proficiency using MS Office Suite
  • Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to type 65 WPM
