We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team

Responsibilities:

  • Check in patients by obtaining vitals and collecting pertinent patient information
  • Record information for the patient's chart
  • Assist provider in the exam room with medical treatments, procedures and exams
  • Administer Injections
  • Prepare medical equipment for examinations and procedures
  • Perform routine specimen collections and tests
  • Receive and direct patent phone calls
  • Facilitate and send out patient referrals
  • Send out orders for laboratory and ultrasound services
  • Assist in obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies for both in and out patient medical procedures

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
  • High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program. 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with patients and other staff members
  • Detailed-oriented and organized
  • A strong understanding of medical practices, administrative practices and organizational policies
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
