Summit Medical Staffing Allied is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare industry by performing laboratory tests and procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other diagnostic tests.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other specialized instruments.
- Record and report test results, including abnormal findings and critical values.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to provide test results and answer questions.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA).
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
