Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Fort Lauderdale FL office.  Successful candidate will have 3-5+ years of HVAC & Mechanical Systems, design, engineering and/or project management experience with Engineering Consulting firm.  This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of projects and making major design determinations.  Projects will include high-rise, commercial properties, hospitals, schools, colleges, theater complexes, transportation facilities, and historic renovation projects. 

Duties:

  • Prepares reports, opinions, and recommendations for the approval of the Project Manager concerning the direction of the project.
  • Responsible for the technical accuracy of projects.
  • Ensures timely delivery of all completed projects.
  • Acts as technical advisor to junior staff regarding project assignments.
  • Preforms design work with Revit 2011 and MEP 2011
  • Ability to serve as a field engineer during construction phase of a project.
  • Coordinates contract documents between disciplines.
  • Establishes time and hour budgets of projects.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree preferred in Mechanical engineering with 5+ years of industry related experience
  • Revit 2011 and MEP 2011 preferred, for drafting and design to complete a project.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
