Our client, a well-known SaaS organization, is seeking a Vendor Manager to join their team The candidate hired for this position will assume responsibility for contract negotiations and vendor onboarding tasks within their G&A function, specifically focusing on tail end spend.
This position necessitates expertise in sourcing, vendor management, and onboarding processes. Your duties will include swift negotiation, providing deal support, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring timely vendor onboarding. This role requires a great deal of ownership and accountability.
Pay Rate: $43-53/hour based on experience
Location: 100% Remote, PST or EST time zones preferred
Contract Term: 9-months with potential to extend
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and own vendor onboarding across the company as the primary point of escalation.
- Own all tasks required to onboard vendors; work with internal teams and vendors to facilitate the end to end vendor onboarding process
- Lead vendor onboarding across the company to delight internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with cross-functional stakeholders such as operational leaders, legal teams, finance, security, and risk management.
- Communicate the vendor monitoring approach to Business Partners, and other stakeholders.
- Categories of spend: Legal, Finance, People - includes both services and technology
Required Qualifications:
- A very high level of self-motivation, initiative, passion, excitement to work cross-functionally and excellent interpersonal skills are a MUST have for this role
- Sourcing and contract negotiation experience is required.
- Ability to drive and calculate savings
- Proficient with ServiceNow utilization
- Oracle Fusion experience is a plus. Working in an ERP is a plus.
- Customer focused
- Driver, takes ownership, great at resolving problems
- Great with complexity
- Understanding of the vendor onboarding process
- Familiar with risk and compliance as it relates to vendor onboarding
- Sourcing and operations experience
