Our small company is looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist our controller with the day-to-day bookkeeping needs. This position requires attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and a skilled multi-tasker with good communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including data entry, maintaining records, and reconciling accounts
- Prepare and process journal entries and general ledger transactions
- Prepare customer invoices with phone and / or email follow up
- Prepare vendor payments
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in using Acumatica and Velixo Report Generator preferred
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk required. Order processing skills are beneficial.
- Familiarity with debits, credits, and journal entries

Skills:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
