SolidWorks Mechanical Design Engineer - Conveyor Systems

Are you a mechanical design engineer with expertise in SolidWorks and a passion for designing conveyor systems? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in designing and engineering custom material handling solutions. This role focuses on the development of a wide range of conveyor systems including Chain Driven Live Roller (CDLR), Motor Driven Roller (MDR), plastic belt, chain, and gravity conveyors. You will also be involved in creating innovative custom conveyor solutions like zero-pressure pallet conveyors for handling large, complex items, such as automotive parts and heavy industrial materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize SolidWorks to design and model a variety of conveyor systems for industrial and commercial applications.
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for CDLR, MDR, plastic belt, chain, and gravity conveyors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Create custom conveyor solutions that handle specialized material needs, including zero-pressure systems for large and complex items.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of innovative, efficient, and reliable conveying solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation including engineering drawings, BOMs, and manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design engineering with a focus on conveyor systems.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.
  • Strong knowledge of material handling systems and automation technologies.
  • Experience in designing for industries requiring efficient and specialized conveying solutions, such as automotive and heavy industrial sectors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in design.
