Job Title - Distribution Planner
Primary Function of the Position
The primary function for this position is to coordinate and execute planning activities related to the KITS production and distribution for international markets to ensure customer orders are shipped on time. The goal is to ensure KITS are positioned to always support demand, while avoiding excess inventory. The position is responsible for monitoring inventory to ensure it meets sales plan and backlog requirements. This position will work with production planning, purchasing, order support, warehouse, and logistics teams to achieve both tactical and strategic goals assigned. Must have full understanding of production demand and supply needs to identify opportunities and coordinate resolution and continuous improvement with other departments.
Essential Job Duties
• Performs planning activities in systems like SAP, O9 and Agile
• Analyze inventory levels at our worldwide locations.
• Daily review of backlog/backorder reports to ensure inventory is allocated accordingly.
• Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with production plan milestones/targets.
• Drive appropriate corrective actions where needed.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to execute ECO implementation requirements.
• Take the necessary steps to achieve established Distribution Planning metrics.
• Monitor and adjust material master parameters in SAP.
