Job Description:

We are seeking a responsible individual with experience in Accounts Receivable for a Construction Company. Under the supervision of our staff, this primarily responsible for prompt, efficient and accurate processing of monthly customers AIA Billings . This position requires a robust combination of general accounting, accounts receivable and billing experience to support a large specialty contractor in the construction industry. You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multi-tasking.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly timely billing of AIA requisitions for from beginning to end.
  • Work closely with the operations manager to ensure that required documentation is understood and turned in timely.
  • Review all subcontractor/customer monthly application for accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate and provide all required Draw Documentation with proper backup (G702, G702, Draw Detail, Invoice/AIA Back-up, Subcontractor Lien Waiver, Stored Materials Log/ Back-up)  each month in a timely manner to meet accurate deadlines.
  • Prepare Billings and enters them into the accounting system.
  • Track and follow up for timely payment.
  • Examine Certificates of Insurance and Endorsements for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to our business requirements.
  • Follow up with contractor to verify their policy coverage and cancelation when necessary.
  • Assist in procuring projects Insurance coverages for all Jobs.
  • Other assignments and projects as defined and directed

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Team focused individual who is skilled at building relationships with people, leading teams and coordinating project activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively both across and outside the organization at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, expressing ideas clearly and objectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Preparing customer statements, invoices, and other documents.
  • Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.

Compensation/Salary:

$16.00 and up

  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer savvy, Organized, Meticulous, Responsible and Reliable.
  • High level of efficiency, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
  • experience with an emphasis in construction is a plus.
  • Understanding of Financial P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
