We are partnered with an Insurance client in the Birmingham Alabama area, in need of  ​an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team Please review responsibilities below and apply if interested in pursuing an interview 

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
  • Code invoices and work with GL codes 
  • Obtain check approvals 
  • Problem solving special requests for checks 
  • Send invoices to the right person for coding
  • Help with questions regarding checks  
  • Process expense reports 
  • Mail and sort out checks 
  • Process and pay bills online
  • Scan checks and distribute to different departments 
  • Compute and record numerical data 
  • Check the accuracy of business transactions
  • Perform data entry and administrative duties 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
