Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting the corporate logistics manager in overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, ensuring the flow of distribution of highly perishable foods from suppliers to customer. The successful candidate will manage the following critical functions for a busy refrigerated warehousing environment; schedule and monitor shipments, manage inventory, and communicate with customers and third-party service providers. The coordinator will function as a liaison between the Sales, warehousing, and the Transportation Department in providing status updates on customer deliveries, fielding queries, and administering returns and/or credits.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following essential functions:

·         Daily Inventory transfers between all divisions and warehouses

·         Daily Inventory production adjustments for on site processing

·         Monitoring Silent Passenger to provide accurate ETAs of Fancy drivers to sales reps and/or customers

·         Receiving phone calls from Fleet drivers to manage returns, refusals and/or invoice adjustments.

                      o     Sales Department Interface

                      o   Execute appropriate administrative adjustments for inbound customer product returns.

·         Scheduling Vendor inbound deliveries via phone and email

·         Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movements of shipment.

·         Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

·         Tracking and managing shipping errors.

·         Inputting export applications to the FSIS system weekly

·         Collating all export certificates and invoices

·         Item SKU creation in Retalix from information provided by procurement dept.

·         Routing backup for Logistics Manager utilizing Appian Daily Planner

·         Developing processes that bolster the supply chain. 

·         Protects organization’s values by keeping information confidential.

·         Assists with appropriate special projects as required.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Essential Skills and Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management/ Logistics or concentration a plus

·         Or minimum of 3 years professional experience in logistics/supply chain management.

·         Preferable experience within the food distribution industry

·         Bilingual a plus

·          In depth knowledge of all operations related systems preferred: (Retalix, Appian Daily Planner, Mobile Conductor, Intellishift Silent                   Passenger/Dash Cams, FSIS Information System)

·         Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

·         Must have the ability to solve complex problems and think logically.

·         Ability to work independently and make prompt decisions

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels.

·         Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service.

·         Should have a history of excellent leadership and motivational skills.

·         Motivated self-starter that leads by example and delivers supportive management.

·         Must be dependable, trustworthy, and have a professional attitude. 

·         Must be fully computer/ PC literate and understand / navigate various ERP systems.
