Starbeam Lighting Solutions is a family-owned lighting distributor that has offered lighting solutions, energy audits, and ongoing lighting education to the St. Louis community for over 50 years. We are looking for an inside sales representative who is a confident, self-starter who wants to be part of the dynamic lighting business. From fulfilling customer’s everyday lighting needs to providing energy saving LED solutions, this position is best suited for a motivated person who thrives on problem solving.

 

Responsibilities

Serve customers by answering incoming phone calls and emails, writing new orders, and managing open orders.

Maintain long standing customer relationships by providing product information, pricing, and quotes in a timely and accurate manner.

Collaborate with the outside sales team to grow sales by providing exceptional customer service and assisting in fulfilling customer needs.

Assist the purchasing department in sourcing hard to find lighting products or replacements for discontinued items.

Maintain an ongoing knowledge of lighting products being offered by manufacturers.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge of commercial lighting products or distribution experience is a plus. Training will be provided if needed.

Ability to communicate product knowledge and work with customers in a professional manner.

Must be able to work with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Ability to learn Enterprise Resource Planning Software (ERP) is required.

Occasionally required to pull items from the warehouse to show customers actual products, ability to lift 20 pounds.

Attention to detail is a must.
