Trucadence is recruiting for a Ecom (Shipping) Lead for our client in Elwood, IL This is a day shift position.

The Shipping Lead (UPS, FedEx, ...) is responsible for all activities related to large volume packaging. This includes but is not limited to the quality of products produced, packaging, shipping, SLA Timing, staffing performance and daily production reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all packaging requirements are met following company requirements
  • Kit Pack SOP and customer specific demands.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with managers and project managers, verbal and written.
  • Give direction to all staff on the kit pack lines or any other area of responsibility assigned and routinely check on stages of kit packing/finishing.
  • Ensure all Environmental Health and Safety requirements are met in kit packing areas.
  • Ensure packaging is occurring promptly to coincide with permitted hours for completion
  • Alert of any potential conflicts that jeopardize on time shipments.
  • Utilize production schedule to plan projects by due dates.
  • Maintain a quality control log for time pulls of packages specific to individual projects.
  • Maintain an organized workflow with planned entry and exit points on packaging lines.
  • Work at a fast-pace with frequently changing daily demands.
  • Document every stage of a kit pack as needed when assisting expeditor or other specialty jobs.
  • Ensure the packaging line remains stocked and items are readily available.
  • Work a consistent schedule and use estimated kit packing hours accordingly, alert of any discrepancies.
  • Perform / ensure completion of housekeeping daily before the end of each day.
  • Assist in special duties and projects as required by Management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 2 + years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective process management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of UPS/FedEx shipping software.
  • Excellent computer skills

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, with Overtime and weekends when required due to work load demands

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 (Depends on the experience)
