We're seeking a motivated individual to help us for the holiday season in our shipping and receiving operations and ensuring timely deliveries to our valued customers.


Position: Seasonal Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location: Hauppauge, NY

Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. *Please note, employees are unable to request time off from the Monday before Thanksgiving through the day after Christmas due to high workload demand, unless doctor's note provided*.


Responsibilities:

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be an integral part of our warehouse team, contributing to the efficient movement of goods and enhancing our customer experience. Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Receiving incoming shipments from suppliers, carefully inspecting contents for accuracy and quality.

  • Processing received shipments by accurately recording and labeling items, updating inventory systems.

  • Organizing and shelving products in a logical and easily retrievable manner, ensuring optimal use of warehouse space.

  • Collaborating with the inventory team to conduct periodic stock checks and assist in inventory management tasks.

  • Preparing outgoing shipments for customer orders, selecting appropriate packaging materials, and ensuring accurate labeling.

  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.


Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics is a plus.

  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in an ecommerce or warehouse setting.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and inventory management.

  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.

  • Physical ability to lift and move packages of various sizes, as well as stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and shipping partners.
