Chief Petroleum is seeking a Fuel Systems Operator who performs operator maintenance on fuel vehicles and equipment and assists fuel delivery drivers in delivering fuel to customer assets onsite in the field. Our company specializes in wet-hosing customer fleets. This
position involves fueling vehicles, heavy equipment, and bulk fuel tanks by operating fuel pumps, PTOs, and 80-120 ft fuel hoses on electric reels and other necessary equipment. The role demands working in various conditions, including inclement weather and nighttime
operations.

The ideal candidate should be able to quickly learn fuel tank wagon operations and efficiently fuel various pieces of equipment and vehicles, which requires climbing ladders and heavy equipment. Responsibilities include assisting in loading and unloading products, performing daily maintenance on equipment, cleaning and prepping equipment for the next shift, and strictly adhering to all safety protocols. Additionally, the candidate should be prepared to take on other duties as assigned to support overall operations effectively.
Schedule: This position has a 4 pm - 5 pm start time, daily start time will vary. Shifts can last for 6-12 hours, sometimes going over 12 hours in case of emergency. This position is considered 2nd Shift and will be Monday-Friday with overtime as needed

Requirements:


1. Physical Requirements
 Stamina and Strength: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting
and moving heavy objects (e.g., fuel hoses, equipment).
 Endurance: Capacity to work long hours, often outdoors and in various weather
conditions.
 Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools and
equipment.

2. Skills and Knowledge
 Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measuring and verifying fuel
quantities.
 Technical Skills: Familiarity with fuel delivery equipment and safety protocols.
 Attention to Detail: Precision in following instructions and adhering to safety guidelines.

3. Experience and Education
 High School Diploma or GED: Minimum educational requirement.
 Previous Experience: Experience in a related field (e.g., warehouse work, logistics, or
manual labor) is often preferred.
 Certifications: Safety and compliance certifications, such as HAZMAT training, may be
required or preferred.

 Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication for interacting with team
members and supervisors.
