Job Description:

As a Building Systems Mechanical Engineer, you will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to provide technical design and construction documents for commercial building HVAC and plumbing systems. Typical work may include:

  • Close coordination and collaboration with different design members within the company as well as architects, owners, and facilities staff outside the company.
  • Under the direction of a senior engineer, assist in initial phase concept planning and review of system options.
  • Perform HVAC and plumbing load calculations using applicable computer software.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
  • Create highly coordinated construction documents using 3D Revit MEP.
  • Construction administration responsibilities including submittal reviews, construction inspections and field troubleshooting.

Job Requirements:

Successful candidates for the MEP Building Systems Mechanical Engineer role must have knowledge of applicable codes and standards within the respective fields, as well as a desire to learn, and a drive to succeed.

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in HVAC or plumbing design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Revit MEP experience a plus.
  • PE license is also a plus.
