We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at Career Outlook. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating mechanical distribution systems for industrial and commercial applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Coordinate Mechanical Systems: Develop and implement mechanical distribution systems that meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Review and Oversee Layout Work: Occasionally review and oversee layout work performed by unlicensed engineers on staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Manage and Schedule Engineering Staff: Occasionally manage and schedule 3D modelers and 2D drafters (VDC/BIM modelers) on staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Review and Edit Project Specifications: Review, edit, and write project specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Generate and Review Production Submittals: Generate and/or review production submittals against project specifications to ensure compliance.
- Assist in Estimating Process: Assist in the estimating process for mechanical contractors by attending walkthroughs, defining scope, and generating bills of materials.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering: A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required for this position.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License: Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in a U.S. state.
- Experience in Mechanical Contracting or A/E Firm: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience with a mechanical contracting company or Architectural/Engineering firm is preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are required for this position, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Revit: Strong skills in Revit (or other compatible software) are required for this position.
