Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) to join our team. The PT Tech will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the therapy department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists with patient treatments and exercises as directed.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after therapy sessions.
- Instruct and motivate patients under the guidance of physical therapists.
- Monitor and document patients’ progress and report any changes to the physical therapist.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition.
- Provide support with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Ensure a positive and supportive environment for patients during their rehabilitation process.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or completion of a PT Tech program preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical record-keeping software.
