Position Purpose Full time Status:

To provide primary leadership and oversight to ministry sites including Grand Rapids Campus Life Club, Crossroads Youth Center, and the Juvenile Justice Ministry. 

 

Role Responsibilities 

• Direct Ministry Leadership - 90% of time with Campus Life, Juvenile Justice Ministry and Crossroads Youth Center Manager job description and specific expectations down below

Fundraising Responsibilities 

All YFC regular full time employees will be given the opportunity to be involved in the development functions of YFC. These opportunities will include fundraising events, YFC donor contacts, mission support and other opportunities as provided. As a Ministry Coordinator, raising funds is an important part of the job, and it will be crucial that this person can effectively and confidently cast an inspiring vision, communicate the need, and ask for funds.

 

 

Spiritual Responsibilities

Because the overriding purpose and mission of Youth for Christ is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be a follower of Jesus who is willing and able to Live the Life of a Leader and pursue deeper relationship with God and deeper community within the body of Christ.

Juvenile Justice Ministry Description:

We strive to respond to the needs of incarcerated youth with relational programs that encourage conversation and build capacity for success in kids. Since every kid is unique and their situations are all different, we reach teens in a variety of youth-serving institutions (i.e. detention centers, probation, correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers, emergency shelters, etc.) Our strategy is to help young people develop a way of living taught by Jesus Christ;balancing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of life. Campus Life Staff Job Description

 

• OUTREACH – Connecting with youth
