We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join a leading insurance brokerage. This role is essential in performing a variety of accounting tasks and assisting our CFO and Controller with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional organizational skills.

Location: Torrance, California

Essential Functions:

• Manage Accounts Receivables, expense reimbursements, and direct bill accounting.
• Review daily transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Process outside finance agreements and company payroll efficiently.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices, check requests, and expense reports for reimbursement.
• Deposit daily bank cash receipts into the designated software program.
• Ensure checks received are deposited into appropriate accounts promptly.
• Assist the Controller with month-end closing procedures and various Excel spreadsheets.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• An Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in accounting, with insurance accounting experience being a significant plus.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office 365 products is essential.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
