Role Overview: Receiving Lead

Purpose:

The Receiving Lead plays a crucial role in our distribution division, ensuring that our receiving operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring that our products are accurately and promptly received. The role has opened due to our ongoing expansion, reflecting our commitment to scaling our operations and maintaining high standards of service.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the receiving process, ensuring all incoming shipments are accurately processed and documented.
  • Utilize WMS software to track and manage inventory.
  • Perform intermediate data entry and clerical duties using MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Follow all safety protocols associated with the position.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and ensure proper documentation retention.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed and work overtime when required.

Role Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED. Alternatively, 2 years of work experience may be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of clerical experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Preferably, 2 years of clerical experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry.
  • Qualifications:
    • Ability to follow all safety protocols.
    • Knowledge of WMS software.
    • Intermediate experience with data entry and clerical duties.
    • Proficiency in basic English, including reading, writing, and following oral instructions.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Competencies and Behaviors:
    • Effective communication methods and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with vendors.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical Abilities:
    • Ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
    • Ability to see details at a far distance.
