Japanese logistics company is seeking Ocean Import- Export Coordinator in Atlanta, GA

Job Description: This position is responsible both Ocean Import and Export;

For Import;

-Handles FCL and Consolidated LCL freight shipments imported into the US. Engage in the preparation of files, distribution of documents, collecting of funds associated with all shipments.

-Performs "Break Down" of consolidated LCL shipments imported the US- compiling master BL and breaking down consolidation into house BL. Verify system generated information with actual documents and ensure accuracy.

-Communicate clearly, timely, and effectively with overseas offices, agents, and domestic vendors. - Notify arrival of shipments, distribute documentation, track movements of shipments from originals to destination which may involve arranging release and delivery at destination according to customers requirements, proactively communicate status of snippets and process.

-Monitor dually ad manage shipments until competition including any files claims in case of damaged goods

-Handle accounting process by issuing Arrival Notice and invoicing to customers and overseas agents

For Export;

-Handles receiving shipping instructions and following customer specific guidelines in the preparation and transmissions of export transactions.

-Take booking requests, ensure bookings are made at current and accurate rates, consolidate and route shipments based on office procedures.

-Open and close files and approve the vendors as part of the accounting process.

-Communicate with carriers, origin and destination locations regarding shipments status, special handing and delivery process.

-Monitor daily and manages shipments until completion. Keep customers appraised to the export details of transactions in accordance with office operation procedure.

-Ensure accuracy and completeness of export documentation, reviews and verify documentation and obtain and any missing documentation from the customers.

-Build relationship with all customers, other offices, overseas agents and servile providers

General requirements:
-High school or associate degree
-Prior clerical experience is a plus
-Prior logistics experiences is a plus
