Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Field Service Technician at PLEVA INC in Annapolis, MD, with flexibility for remote work. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment on-site and remotely, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing customer supporting the Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia region. They will also be required to document service and installation actions and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. Individual must have basic technology knowledge, basic network knowledge, work independently, and provide quality workmanship. Candidate will go through training in office and in the field with supervisor. Once training is complete, candidate will work independently at remote office and in the field.

 

Qualifications

  • Technical skills in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues
  • Customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience with documenting service and installation actions
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer facing skills needed for working with customers and internally at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work on-site and remotely
  • Possess relevant IT skills with competence on Windows, and network communication and connectivity;
  • Experience in the field service industry is a plus
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required;
  • Clean background screening a must

 

Responsibilities

  • The Technician will work remotely from your home office when not traveling to customer sites to service accounts/equipment
  • Our client will provide extensive training (office and field) to get you up to speed
  • Perform full range of service (remotely and in-person), repair and preventive maintenance function
  • We are looking for a technician to service (remotely and in-person), maintain and occasionally install our electronic systems at customer sites in the Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia region
  • This individual is responsible for managing a personal inventory of parts and supplies necessary to repair equipment in the field
  • Based remotely out of your home office, provide top-level on-site service support that sets the benchmark for the medical imaging industry;
  • Work closely with Customers to effectively carry out trouble-shooting, maintenance, and updates on our products;
  • Embrace new technology while leveraging core strengths in customer service and service support;
  • Play a key role in supporting our electronic systems with our customers in our region;
  • Continually build competence in providing technical assistance and support to our customers;
