For nearly 50 years, GemTech has provided custom plastic injection molding, mold design and other development expertise for the plastic injection molding industry with a focus on problem solving. The Opportunity:

The Office Manager’s primary objective is to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the company run smoothly. As a highly visible and key employee, this individual often provides the first and ongoing impression of the company to customers, vendors, and employees.

 

A successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adaptability, problem-solving acumen, and the ability to multitask. They will be comfortable establishing and managing systems and procedures, enabling our team to focus on production, sales, and customer service activities.

Core responsibilities include the following:

 

·         Participate in daily production meetings with the management team to establish and communicate priorities and problem solve with the team.

·         Work with managers and supervisors to hire new employees, provide training programs, and address personnel matters effectively.

·         Oversee annual employee reviews and ensure that supervisors and managers conduct and document such reviews on a timely basis.

·         Be available to answer employees’ personnel questions and maintain all personnel records.

·         Coordinate work comp claims with employees, health care provider and insurance company.

·         Manage employee benefit plans, including open enrollment, payroll deductions, billing review and ongoing employee communications.

·         Manage the retirement plan enrollments, contributions, and required communications and filings.

·         Maintain employee handbook.

·         Maintain a solid understanding of personnel rules and legal requirements.

·         Plan and organize employee appreciation events.

·         Oversee facility management, coordinating vendor services including cleaning, repairs, lawn care and security service.

·         Coordinate computer support and copier services with outside vendors to provide support and training as needed for team members.

·         Inventory and order office supplies as needed.
