I.T. Systems/Network Administrator
Job Overview:
The I.T. Systems / Network Administrator position is part of the administrative team and is responsible for the effective configuration, operation, and maintenance of I.T. – based workstations and networking components and various systems for the Pentucket Regional School District. This person also works with teaching staff to evaluate, integrate, and implement classroom-based technology solutions.
Qualifications:
Degree in Technology-related field, experience in educational environment preferred
3 – 5 years systems / networking administration experience
Knowledge/expertise with large-scale infrastructure and communications systems
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in changing and, at times, emergency, situations
Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/oral communication
Be capable of lifting and moving related computer equipment and peripherals
Able and willing to work non-standard hours when necessary or requested
** Reports to: I.T. & Digital Learning Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
Configuring, Managing and troubleshooting networking technologies, including switches, firewalls, access points and printers.
Deploy and Manage the District’s PC Workstation and Chromebook technology
Assist with Configuration and Management of VMWare and Windows Server technologies and iPad MDM
Maintain an accurate inventory of I.T. - related assets
Research, budgeting, procurement, and acquisition of all I.T. - related assets
Provide assistance and guidance to the Hardware Technician when needed
Assist I.T. Director with technology-related projects and new implementations, hardware acquisitions, E-Rate, pricing.
Maintain backup and archive systems for servers, email, Google
Assist teaching staff with technology-related classroom teaching and remote learning solutions
Provide Instructional Support for teaching staff
Other duties as assigned
Required Core Technologies / Skills:
Windows Active Directory and Group Policies
Wifi, Switch, UTM/Firewall Configuration and Management
VMWare and Windows Server / Windows 10,11
Windows Workstation / Chromebook Deployment and Management
Working knowledge of Chrome and Windows-based systems
Preferred Knowledge / Skills:
GSuite for Education Apps and Administration
Use and Management of Education-based applications
ClassLink/One Roster systems
Experience with SIS (Infinite Campus preferred)
Position Type: Full-time, Year Round (12 months)
