Pride Now is urgently hiring for a 3rd shift Sanitation Lead for one of our Food Manufacturing Clients in Piscataway, NJ.

Job Type: Full-time/Permanent
Pay range: $20-22/hr.
Shift: 3rd, 7pm to 3:30am, EST

Job summary:

The Sanitation Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sanitation within our facilities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a commitment to upholding cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers alike.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Report any food safety issues or concerns to the SQF Practitioner.
• Implement sanitation procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies at the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor
• Lead a team of sanitation associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to sanitation protocols.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate ordering and replenishment as necessary.
• Support investigation and correction of any sanitation-related issues or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing sanitation practices and efficiency.
• Promote a culture of cleanliness and safety among employees, emphasizing the importance of sanitation in maintaining a healthy work environment.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of sanitation principles, practices, and regulations, including but not limited to HACCP, FDA, and OSHA standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train, motivate, and supervise a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in sanitation or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in sanitation, preferably in a manufacturing, food processing, or healthcare environment.
