The Sanitation Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sanitation within our facilities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a commitment to upholding cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers alike.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report any food safety issues or concerns to the SQF Practitioner.
  • Implement sanitation procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies at the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor
  • Lead a team of sanitation associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to sanitation protocols.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate ordering and replenishment as necessary.
  • Support investigation and correction of any sanitation-related issues or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing sanitation practices and efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of cleanliness and safety among employees, emphasizing the importance of sanitation in maintaining a healthy work environment.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Moving 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in sanitation or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sanitation, preferably in a manufacturing, food processing, or healthcare environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
