Job Description:

  • Responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Oversee accounting operations from inputting, reconciling, and processing invoices, credit cards and bank transactions to preparing financial statements and reports
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and settlements
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
  • Prepare documentation of YE Financial Review, compilation, Corporate/Owners Tax Returns for external CPAs
  • Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
  • Bill and collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system (GP Dynamics)
  • Supplies management with any and all financial information necessary for making decisions regarding company benefits (Commercial insurance, Group health insurance, 401K/Profits Sharing, etc.)
  • Serves as system administrator for multiple systems. Work with third party IT provider
  • Monitors collection of past due accounts and advise VP of Operations when after several attempts are made and the next action is taken

Requirements:

  • Initiative-taking, strong time-management skills with the ability to multitask while still maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with GP Dynamics, Jobboss, Paycor and other applications related to accounting and manufacturing is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies wiht confidentiality policies
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others and serve as a back up to Payroll and Accounts Payable
  • Minimum 5+years' experience in all areas of accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent job-related experience
