Fabrication Operator Responsibilities to include:

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Double-checking work order for accuracy
  • Checking dimensional and density qualities of raw material for work order
  • Inspect the physical qualities of the material for any defects before machine operation
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools if necessary
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products in compliance with supervisory record-keeping standards
  • Maintain compliance with safety features and guidelines of all machinery while operating
  • Operate forklift on occasion
  • Be able to understand and operate various manufacturing machinery

Production Machine Operator Requirements to include:

  • 2 – 3 years of Fabrication experience
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. PPE)
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
