This company manufactures and provides a variety of building materials to construction services. With facilities and divisions all over the state, they still haven’t lost the personal touch of their roots. This individual will help further their mission by keeping the A/R and billing departments running smoothly. Previous accounting experience is required; previous collections experience is a plus.

Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Opportunity for a hybrid work schedule once trained.
What we’re looking for:
- Associate’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred
- 1-3 years of accounting experience is required
- Demonstrated experience with A/R, collections, and general ledger account reconciliation; construction progress billing is a plus
- Previous collections experience is preferred
- Ability to work in a high-volume accounting department and meet short deadlines
- High attention to accuracy
- Familiarity with ERP systems – SyteLine, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities
- Possess tact and professionalism when dealing with collections, etc.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Ability to problem-solve
- Customer service-minded with excellent communication skills
Job highlights:
- Conduct monthly billing and subcontract invoice processing
- Support monthly close for job contracts including managing change orders, backlog and projections, etc.
- Prepare and present auditors with financial reports
- Utilize customer service skills in dealing with internal and external customers
- Collect on past due accounts
