Director of Student Recruitment

General Description:
The Director of Student Recruitment will report to the Executive Director of Student Services. This position will develop strategic, data-informed recruitment campaigns that achieve established goals for CALV’s student recruitment and success efforts. The individual will expand our school’s presence to align with the needs of the greater Las Vegas community. This position requires frequent travel and varied work hours to reach and connect with potential students effectively.
Essential Functions:
- The ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment and act as a senior staff member to manage the student recruitment team.
- Commitment and ability to collaborate with internal and external personnel.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong marketing and presentation skills to effectively communicate CALV’s mission, values, and overall programming.
- The ability to analyze data and make data-driven enrollment decisions.
- Ability to generate referrals by quickly building rapport and trust with their respective audience.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including external candidates, at-risk communities, corporate clients, and staff.
- Highly developed organizational and computer skills with strict attention to detail.
- Experience in the education or workforce development space.
- Develop a comprehensive recruitment plan for the Las Vegas market that addresses both short- and long-term strategic goals to recruit new students to CALV.
- Hire, train, and supervise a recruitment team, ensuring staff meet the department's needs and achieve annual recruitment goals.
- Participate in and promote strategic initiatives to increase student enrollment, retention, and placement.
- Coordinate & support on-campus special events, tour requests, and presentations to share information on CALV’s program offerings.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding all CALV’s programs and supportive services.
- Submit reports as directed by the supervisor regarding activities, future recruiting plans, event proposals, and travel management.
- Performs all other duties related to student recruitment and student success as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles of effective communication.

Ability to communicate effectively, persuasively, and accurately to a range of audiences. Must be able to multitask, maintain a high level of professionalism, and remain calm under pressure. Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations, using independent judgment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or communications is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in college admissions/recruitment, workforce development, or sales. Hospitality experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – preferred.
