SUMMARY:

The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies (attend job fairs and work with companies/ agencies) to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Will work with hiring managers to assist in the process as needed. The goal of this role is to ensure SDMI attracts hires and retains employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline. This position will also perform HR administrative duties to support the department.

Duties include:
• Develops, facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
• Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews, reference checks, drug tests, employment offers/letter and scheduling of TB/ onboarding.
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment of variety positions.
• Maintains listing of approved positions.
• Assists with recruitment and interview process.
• Tracks status of candidates in recruiting process and updates hiring manager.
• Collaborates with Managers/Directors/ Chiefs to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the position/ industry standard and SDMI's need.
• Ensure positions are posted internally/ externally using different sourcing methods to best recruit candidates for specific opening.
• Research schools, organizations and government programs to recruit candidates.
• Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
• Conduct New Employee onboarding and Orientation.
• Facilitate the offer process.
• Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices
• Provide management with requested reports and documentation
• Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
• May perform other job related duties as necessary for the efficient operation of SDMI.

MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:
• High School graduate or equivalent plus three years' experience in high volume Human Resources office or prior recruiting experience. (required)
• Proficient with ADP (ADP Workforce Now), MS office and related software.
• Prior healthcare experience highly preferred.
• Ability to provide high level of customer service to internal & external customers.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality; interpret and apply laws, regulations and policies.
• Must use independent judgment, handle multiple priorities; interpret and apply laws, regulations and policies; work independently and use sound judgment.
• Self-motivated and self-disciplines, able to work independently and in team environment.
• Skill to pay attention to details and accuracy in completing tasks.
• Adapts and responds positively to changes in assignments and priorities.
• Works as an effective team member with co-workers and other personnel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Communicates effectively when follow up is needed.
• Skill in organizing time to accommodate changes in workload and assignments in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Assume responsibility for updating knowledge of current SDMI department policies and procedures, protocol and practices.
• Knows and follows all safety and evacuation guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Able to identify hazardous material in immediate work area.
• Willingly participates in cross-training activities within the department in for own professional growth in order to contribute to the overall function of SDMI.
• Demonstrates punctuality by reporting to work on time/satisfactory attendance record that complies with SDMI attendance policy.
• Takes full responsibility for all functions within job description and assures that all functions are completed before leaving SDMI at the end of the shift.
