Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCentury Group is partnering with our client for a temporary Project Accountant position. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.  Expected starting base salary $35 to $40 per hour. 

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Program and Development staff to create project budgets.
  • Set up new projects in applicable systems, working closely with the Accounting Manager.
  • Generate project reports within the Accounting system to monitor project finances and facilitate invoice creation.
  • Reconcile variances in cash application with the Cash Receipts team member.
  • Prepare financial reports for grants and contracts, maintaining compliance with contract requirements in collaboration with Program and Development staff.
  • Provide year-end support for auditor requirements, including research and reconciliation.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate and correct accounting entries.
  • Effective and professional communication, both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy when interacting with staff and clients.
  • Detail-oriented and disciplined, consistently delivering accurate and timely work.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively in a team environment.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity accounting system and ADP payroll system desired.
