The IT Data Warehousing Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to support business decision-making. They will identify opportunities for reuse of data across the enterprise, validating data sources and keeping abreast of new tools & technology and functionalities across application(s) Working closely with customers, vendors, business analysts, and application development project teams, the IT Data Warehousing Analyst will resolve information flow and content issues to ensure data integrity and compliance, performing data profiling and data validations. Additionally, the IT Data Warehousing Analyst will:

  • Facilitate meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions
  • Gather data and reporting requirements, detects and summarizes patterns in data and findings by producing simple reports and works with development teams for problem resolutions.
  • Analyze and document client's business requirements and processes, and communicate these requirements by constructing conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates from organization
  • Collaborate with work teams, departments, system leadership, staff, other IT groups, and technology vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions
  • Provide input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develop business specifications to support these modifications
  • Create test scenarios and develop test plans to be used in testing business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design
  • Assist in analyzing testing results throughout the project and assist in coordinating business analyst tasks on information technology projects, problem tickets, and in providing support to other team members
  • Provide on call second-level escalation response for client issues and problem tickets, performing root cause analysis and application resolution

 

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience, with at least 3 years of applicable experience in a Healthcare setting, including a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field
  • Experience in Data Warehousing or Data Mart environments, with strong knowledge of state-of-the-art software engineering approaches in design, build, test, debugging, and ongoing technical support, including the ability to articulate examples of workflows and processes associated with that experience
  • Deep expertise with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL, indexing, partitioning, views, materialized views, performance tuning, and optimization; experience optimizing SQL queries/performance tuning
  • An understanding of Star Schema, Snow Flake, and/or Data Warehouse methodologies like Bill Inmon or Ralph Kimball
  • Proficiency in the usage of different analytical functions, including Partition By, Rank, Sum, Group By, Order By clauses, Lead, and/or Lag
  • Experience in Datastage/Cognos/PowerBI Conversion
  • Expertise using Nested, Sub, and Inner Queries
  • Experience handling errors and fixing SQL issues
  • Good understanding of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD’s) and their types/usage
  • Experience creating BRD, STM, and solution design documents
  • Integration experience working with multiple sources/datasets
  • Experience across the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Good understanding of HIPAA data privacy and security requirements
  • Experience with UNIX operating systems and Oracle databases preferred
  • Experience with FACETS, IKA, PEGA, and Windows and UNIX operating systems preferred
  • Healthcare industry knowledge of EDI transactions, Medicare/Medicaid, commercial products, or ACA preferred
