Boutique real estate firm needs a senior property accountant to perform the following:

A group of really nice people to work with.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP
  • Monthly close schedule
  • Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they’re recorded appropriately each month
  • Confirmation/audit of daily sales reports
  • Assist with financial analysis for senior management
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations (including several bank accounts)
  • Analyzing financial statements each month and report on variance
  • Assist with documentation and monitoring of internal controls
  • Assist with Banking and other financial matters

Required Skills/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory
  • 2-3 years accounting/finance experience
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines, while working on competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager
