The Project Superintendent is responsible for supervising and coordinating all construction field activities. He/She is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and adherence to the project budget. The supervisory responsibility for Field Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, Interns and Trade Labor in his/her area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Superintendent must know building construction, means and methods, scheduling, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to thoroughly read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership skills in a managerial role requiring delegation of tasks to workers, subcontractors and other managers.
  • Communication skills, including the ability to give clear orders and process complex information to delegate to others in a more straightforward manner
  • Superintendent must have time management skills required to meet deadlines through each phase of construction until completion

Essential Job Duties:

  • Overseeing and making decisions related to work performance, scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
  • Overseeing work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation. Resolving local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment, schedule and all other appropriate matters.
  • Manage the site safety program as required and ensure subcontractor compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Supervising and developing Field Engineers and/or interns, as assigned, including providing input on or completing performance appraisals.
  • Communicating in connection with field issues. Investigating and resolving such matters.
  • Managing the work to ensure it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.

$100K - $150K Salary PLUS up to 50% Project Bonus
