The Opportunity

The Evaluation Team Operations Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring our part time Course Evaluator team performs at a top level to deliver high quality service to our graduate level continuing education clients. Teaching Channel Course Evaluators provide personalized feedback and evaluation to educators completing online Continuing Education courses, enriching learning and ensuring a positive interaction with Teaching Channel.


The Specialist will support administrative, operations and hiring needs for the Course Evaluator team, including ensuring courses are properly staffed, data analysis and reporting, communication and engagement, and assisting with the hiring and onboarding process. This is a part time role averaging 20 hours per week, reporting to the Evaluation Manager and Professional Learning Specialist.


What You’ll Do


Ongoing Support for Course Evaluators:

  • Generate and review reports, and verify course evaluator time cards
  • Support evaluators with HRIS system (BambooHR) as needed
  • Manage course staffing - such as replacement course evaluators, sending out books, giving course access, arranging start/end dates
  • Assist with staffing for emergency subbing needs as requested
  • Assist with evaluator offboarding
  • Communicate with Course Evaluators regarding team processes and updates


Collaborate with Evaluation Team:

  • Contribute ideas to support planning and process improvement
  • Support team goals and projects
  • Contribute to a strong team and collegial work environment, and attend monthly team meetings
  • Update and maintain the Evaluator Hub in the Canvas LMS and Evaluation Team spreadsheets and documents
  • Assist in the publication of Evaluation Team newsletters


Perform clerical tasks including:

  • Managing the sub system
  • Entering Support Tickets
  • Responding to/tracking student Collaboration Requests
  • Investigating plagiarism issues
  • Managing evaluator course access in the Canvas LMS
  • Other tasks as needed


Support Hiring and Onboarding new Course Evaluators:

  • Review applications with a resume rubric and assist in the process for selecting new course evaluators several times each year
  • Support onboarding of new evaluators by completing HR tasks
  • Schedule, improve, and implement onboarding sessions

Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge of K12 education is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experienced and savvy using technology, including online teaching and learning systems (e.g., Canvas)
  • 2-3 years experience with administrative work, project management, or running a program
  • 1-2 years of experience leading adults
  • Desire to promote culturally and linguistically responsive teaching and utilize your skills to contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
