We are currently seeking a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer supports RCP Project Managers and Superintendents with assigned project(s) and acts as the link between various project parties. The individual in this role will assist with all aspects of the project. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with RCP employees, vendors, subcontractors and project owners is a critical component. The candidate selected for this role will be primarily stationed at the jobsite location, but may also work out of the corporate office.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set-up new jobs and manage existing jobs in Procore (Project Management Software) and other relevant platforms
- Create and manage subcontracts, change orders and RFI's
- Assist with monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness
- Assist with coordinating and overseeing all work on site
- Attend Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings
- Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget
- Follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure quality standards are met
- Place orders for materials, signage, etc., responsible for equipment and materials on site as needed
- Assist with maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFI's
- Liaise with inspection authorities as needed
This role requires:
- Minimum of three years' experience as a Project Engineer for a commercial construction General Contractor
- References from managers or coworkers of a prior General Contractor employer
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to interpret to drawings, specifications and other documents
Helpful but not required:
- Experience with Procore or other similar project management software
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products
