About Us:

O'Brien Construction Company is a leading construction firm dedicated to delivering exceptional projects that positively impact our communities. We're seeking a passionate and driven Construction Project Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Trades on construction projects.
  • Manage project materials, including ordering, deliveries, and tracking quantities.
  • Review and process critical documents like submittals, RFIs, and other project communication.
  • Provide support to Project Managers and Superintendents in various areas.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of project plans, specifications, requirements, and contracts.
  • Assist with document control, estimating, correspondence, expediting, problem-solving, labor cost reporting, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors for on-time and accurate material deliveries.
  • Prepare and distribute project communication such as submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and manage project safety risks.
  • Approach problems creatively and utilize available resources to find solutions.
  • Foster a culture of integrity and ethical conduct within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (preferred).
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, Procore, and OpenSpace.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Creative and results-oriented approach with a sense of urgency and self-motivation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Passion for the construction industry.
