Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Fullerton, CA. This is an office-based position within the Quality Control / Machine Center department, reporting directly to the Quality Control Manager. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring products meet the established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role is critical to maintaining the reputation of our client’s products and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Participate in improvement programs for products, procedures, and processes.
  • Maintain the Quality System to current ISO and Customer standards, continuously seeking improvement.
  • Identify, record, monitor, and report process and product quality measurements, and lead programs to improve results.
  • Monitor and maintain customer Quality Ratings and continuously seek to improve Parts Per Million (PPM) rates.
  • Assist in the non-conformance system to record, disposition, and analyze product, process, and system discrepancies.
  • Control and confine nonconforming products where appropriate.
  • Maintain corrective and preventive action programs.
  • Identify, acquire, calibrate, and manage needed equipment, fixtures, and resources.
  • Assist with the timely inspection, disposition, and review of customer-returned parts. Consult with Sales, Production, and Engineering personnel to determine required corrective actions.
  • Assist with Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) processing internally and externally.
  • Communicate with Production and Engineering Teams to resolve QC issues.
  • Open to cross-training within the organization based on current needs.
  • Assist with daily operations and inspections in the machine center.
  • Monitor production parts output to ensure production goals are met.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
  • Proficient in using measurement tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies and defects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel); knowledge of Smartsheet and Unipoint is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quality education or certification is desired but not required.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 45 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Must be highly organized and a fast learner.
  • Good with numbers and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a manufacturing, machining, and warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
