Position Summary: The Network Administrator is responsible for supporting, configuring, and maintaining corporate customer networks and in-house servers. This role involves installing and integrating new server hardware and applications, monitoring for necessary updates, and ensuring optimal network performance and security. The Network Administrator will also coordinate with various vendors for hardware repairs, software subscriptions, and network services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade company customers' networks and in-house servers.
  • Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
  • Monitor for necessary updates and ensure systems are up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with Dex Imaging for copier/printer repairs and copy counts.
  • Coordinate with GoDaddy for website upgrades and SSL certificates.
  • Work with Insight to renew subscriptions for SMARTNET , including FirePOWER IPS, AMP and URL Licenses, and AnyConnect 25 VPN Licenses.
  • Manage Autodesk,Label Matrix subscription renewal.
  • Maintain and support the company phone system (NEC SV 8100 Analog/Digital/VoIP Hybrid).
  • Support various programs including VMWare, Proxmox, CISCO, Citrix, SolidWorks, QuickBooks, Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Products (including Visio, Project, Access), and Microsoft SQL.
  • Provide small computer support for desktops and laptops using hands-on and remote access via Take Control Software.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of all company IT assets, including software and hardware.
  • Ensure email scanning, antivirus protection, and online server backups are provided by Acronis (including on-premise backups).
  • Use Microsoft365, Entra, Exchange, and other administration panels to set up new employees and make changes to current employees in the systems.
  • Work with engineers to connect to production equipment.
  • Keep up with security trends and new security guidelines.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience with networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows, UNIX).
  • Experience with VMWare, Proxmox, CISCO, Citrix, SolidWorks, QuickBooks, Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Products, and Microsoft SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with server hardware, installations, and integrations.
  • Proficient in managing and troubleshooting desktop and laptop support issues.
  • Experience with remote access tools such as Take Control Software.
  • Understanding of antivirus protection, email scanning, and server backup solutions.
  • Ability to coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)) are a plus.
