Summary:
The Field Supervisor will be tasked with managing and driving the construction activities of projects while interacting with customers, trade partners, building inspectors, and other PBS associates to deliver quality products on time and in full. The Field Supervisor has a critical role in creating a Truly Outstanding Customer Experience. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company and the capability of working in a team environment are crucial for this position.

Essential Responsibilities:
You will manage and drive all PBS Scope-related activities, crews, equipment, and material while coordinating with Trade Partners, municipal inspectors, PBS support managers, and the Builder Team to meet and maintain the Job Schedules and deliver high quality homes to our customers. Scopes include framing, siding, windows, roofing:
• Ensure all PBS onsite activities are conducted in a safe manner following customer and OSHA requirements
• Supervise, execute, and approve the construction schedules to ensure on-time material delivery, Frame Starts, Frame Completes, Backouts, and Rough Inspections
• Perform daily coordination with your Builder Team to ensure proper and on-time handoffs between stages of construction per the Job Schedules
• Coordinate and communicate with the PBS team to schedule material drops and pickups, truss correction letters, and panel build issues
• Coordinate and communicate with the Product Development Help Desk and start calls to resolve design issues and plans are updated accordingly
• Conduct pre-construction meetings with crews to ensure the correct material is available, all plans and documents are correct and available
• Manage weekly pay for crews through the PBS Power App and coordinate with the PBS Crew Manager (and/or purchasing) on discrepancies/issues/crew needs
• Perform Quality Control inspections to deliver high quality homes while meeting budgets for each home and the overall community using PBS policies and procedures
• Inspect every home to ensure the work is completed to PBS’s specifications and the jobsite is ready for the next Trade Partner; call and walk all required inspections
• Schedule or perform all necessary corrections to maintain the Job Schedule and pass required inspections on time
• Ensure crews are trained to current building codes, safety standards, and framing practices; coordinate with the Trainers when needed to remedy issues
• Coordinate forklift fueling and maintenance as required with crews and PBS Associates
• Use conflict resolution skills to manage all relevant stakeholders and create an efficient working environment
• Coordinate with the PBS Teams and Support Center to maintain accurate records on a daily basis
• Manage materials for PBS scopes
• Follow all stormwater requirements by coordinating with the Stormwater Manager and ensuring framing crews and delivery drivers follow all applicable rules for site cleanliness and maintenance
• Perform related projects as assigned within the scope of your role
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and training requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• 2+ years’ experience in production building of residential projects or equivalent schooling
• Experience and knowledge in managing projects independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
• Excellent organizational skills required
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
• Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline
• Strong work ethic towards accomplishing goals and ability to work in a team environment
• Working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Windows, Office, and general internet)
• Must be able to manage and QC all four scopes installed today
• Must be able to read construction plans as needed by scope
• Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs independently
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• 10 Hour OSHA Certified (required within 3 months of hire)

• High School degree or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
